Mr. Balasubramaniam, born in 1971, is the founder of Akshani Auto Sdn. Bhd., established in 2005. His challenging upbringing instilled in him the resilience and ambition that shaped his entrepreneurial journey. Starting his career in the production and manufacturing sectors in 1990, he gained invaluable experience during a 15-year stint in Japan, where he became fluent in Japanese and cultivated a disciplined, systematic approach to business.

Initially focused on importing cars spare parts and boats from Japan, Mr. Balasubramaniam anticipated economic challenges in 2007 and pivoted the company toward waste management services, maintaining a smaller auto parts segment. By 2013, Akshani Auto Sdn. Bhd. had become a trusted name in waste management, achieving milestones like becoming a Sony EMCS vendor and earning recognition as Sony Japan's best waste management company in 2015.

To support expansion, he founded Kazoku Metal (M) Sdn. Bhd in 2016 and Ever Bright Electrical & Electronic Trading in 2021. In 2019, he rebranded Akshani Auto Sdn. Bhd. to Akshani Sdn. Bhd., solidifying its role as a one-stop waste management service provider. His achievements include receiving the 'Top Auto Parts Company' award in 2018 from Penang Indian Small Medium Business.

After 20 years of leading Akshani Sdn. Bhd., Mr. Balasubramaniam remains its driving force, leveraging his vision and determination to pursue continued success and growth in his ventures.
